Vodun Days will offer an immersive experience into the fascinating world of Vodun, an ancestral religion deeply rooted in Benin’s cultural identity. For four days, Ouidah will be transformed into a living stage where visitors can explore the different facets of Vodun through exhibitions, artistic performances and multiple workshops.

Vodun Days aims to strengthen the connection between ancient traditions and modernity, while promoting intercultural dialogue. By celebrating Vodun in its place of origin, the event invites participants to discover the cultural richness of Benin, and to appreciate how these traditions influence and inspire contemporary creation.

Vodun Days features several highlights and festivities:

– Entertainment in the Vodun squares and convents in the heart of the historic city of Ouidah;

– The Vodun Days village, with its many craft, food and entertainment stalls;

– The artistic stage, with its nightly concert and show on the beach;

– The Ceremonial Ceremony in the presence of high dignitaries, with the ritual parade of Vodun devotees leaving the convents.
